New York-based emcee PremRock recently released an album Mark’s Wild Years, which pays homage to the legendary Tom Waits — yes, hip hop can be that diverse. After a nation-wide tour with stops in places such as Buffalo, NY, Las Vegas, NV and others. “Singapore” is the latest single off the album, and the video (also influenced by Tom Waits) plays off the themes of madness, drunken debauchery and the absurd, all existing simultaneously. (You’ll also see a guest spot by Jesse Abraham in the video, too.)
Check out Premrock’s tongue-twisitng flow over an incredibly fast-paced beat — the sort of beat that would normally inspire drunkenly decadent behavior.
